Raise your hand who, hearing the term “tailoring” mentioned, hasn’t automatically thought of clothes. Probably none!
And in fact, if we look at the definition of tailoring, however, we immediately speak of an artisan workshop. In short, where you use your hands and sewing machines, but not where you necessarily sew clothes. No, we are not a fashion house. But our 4 tailors, under the expert guidance of Monica Valbonesi, pack real tailored clothes for our silos.
A diversified and never the same job. “There are many things to learn,” Monica explains. “Cutting is not as simple as it seems, on the contrary! You have to develop the measurement, considering a little extra fabric to then be able to sew it correctly. Or again, the bottoms: the models differ one from the other, and consequently also the measures and the accessories”.
According to Monica each silo is independent and the same model is rarely reused. It is the main theme of the work in CEPI: customization and flexibility.
Trevira and filter fabric for the silos, fluitex for the bottom of the silboxes, but also PVC.
The universe of CEPI Tailoring Department is a made-to-measure world waiting to be discovered!
